Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager, focusing on front-end and sales floor operations.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Maintain store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is not present, oversee hourly Associates.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities, such as Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales floor effectiveness daily.
• Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines.
• Coordinate store signage and manage seasonal displays to maximize sales.
• Handle damaged merchandise daily.
• Support the creation of weekly staff schedules.
• Assist with managing store supplies and controlling expenses.
• Maintain merchandising and checkout areas to maximize impulse sales.
• Refill coolers and program racks/displays daily, such as balloons, sunglasses, batteries, etc.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
