Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Keep all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is absent, take direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates.
8. Process all corporate directives including pull and hold/destroy, task compliance, and key survey information.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales effectiveness daily.
11. Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines.
12. Optimize promotional fixtures, displays, and seasonal areas.
13. Coordinate signage used in the store.
14. Manage store supplies and control expenses.
15. Maintain the checkout area to maximize impulse sales and ensure coolers and displays are refilled daily.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
