Responsible for assisting with all operational tasks within the store as delegated and assigned by the Store Manager, focusing on front-end and sales floor operations. Also assist with hiring, training, and developing store associates as delegated by the Store Manager.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, staff, and supervisors.
6. Keep all areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is not present, take supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates.
8. Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
11. Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling guidelines.
12. Oversee promotional displays and seasonal areas to maximize sales.
13. Coordinate signage and merchandising efforts.
14. Handle damaged merchandise daily.
15. Assist with weekly schedule creation.
16. Manage store supplies and expenses.
17. Maintain checkout area to maximize impulse sales.
18. Refill coolers and program racks/displays daily.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

1. Prior retail and management experience preferred.
2. Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
3. Ability to lift, bend, and transport up to 50 lbs.
4. Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
