Yuzu Health Inc. is seeking a Payments Operations Architect to join our senior-track operations team in New York City. With 3-6 years of experience, you will help optimize accounts payable/receivable and product-driven reporting while owning key processes.

This in-person role requires 5 days per week in our West Village office and offers significant equity, exposure to a fast-growing healthcare tech platform, and the opportunity to advance into management as we scale.

So how does this actually work? Over 70% of employer-sponsored health plans are self-funded, meaning the employer acts as the insurer and directly covers employees' healthcare costs. This allows companies to customize benefits, gain flexibility, and save money. Self-funded employers partner with a Third-Party Administrator (TPA) to handle the behind-the-scenes plan administration, like processing claims and managing benefits.

The Operations Architect is Yuzu's senior-track operations role for people with 3-6 years of experience.

As a Payments Operations Architect, you will help us optimize our payments operations and grow our team. This role has the potential to grow into a management role.

You will be responsible for managing and improving our accounts payable, accounts receivable, and product-driven reporting functions.

You will be responsible for problem-solving across the Partnerships, Account Management, and Compliance teams.

Your job will change completely every 3-6 months as we automate repetitive tasks and grow our business.

In-person 5 days/week in our West Village NYC office

Qualifications

3-6 years of experience operating in a high-growth startup, consulting, investment banking or investing experience.

You have to like challenges. This is hard. Oscar Health had 200 employees before they had real customers on their insurance plans. Collective Health had 40. Yuzu had 5.

You have to want to own a process rather than just work on projects.

You have to be an ethical and compassionate person.

Experience in the healthcare or insurance industries is a plus, but not required.

Salary range: $150-$200k depending on experience and preferred equity versus cash compensation.
