Job summary

The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) is seeking an Operations Analyst I to perform entry‑level data analysis, budgeting and reporting for the Operations Division in Philadelphia. You will work with analysts, support co‑op students, and assist in training staff as needed.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, proficiency with MS Office and Power BI, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, data analytics, finance, or related field.
• Must possess knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and basic understanding of data visualization tools including Power BI.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and monitors weekly and monthly reports, financial and statistical.
• Collaborates with team members to collect and analyze data.
• Visualizes data with charts, graphs, infographics, and basic dashboards.
• Establishes basic KPIs to measure impact of decisions and service delivery.
• Drafts presentations for senior staff.
• Identifies and recommends process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Coordinates project activities and communicates updates to stakeholders.
• Assists in development and delivery of staff training.
