Job summary

Bay Area Turning Point, Inc. is seeking an Operations Aide to help transport clients to appointments, interviews, and resources, supporting the agency’s mission to assist survivors of abuse.

Responsibilities include maintaining a weekly transportation calendar, documenting trips, and assisting with vehicle upkeep. Requires a TX driver’s license, a clean driving record, and a HS diploma or GED. 1 year in transportation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in transportation services.
• Valid, non-suspended Texas Driver’s License.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends; able to lift 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for shelter, hotel and non-residential clients.
• Schedule and maintain a weekly calendar of approved client transportation.
• Document client transportation and submit weekly logs for service records.
• Perform weekly vehicle walk-throughs (4 vans) for maintenance and cleanliness.
• Assist with Donation Center & Client Closet pickups and drop-offs.
• Answer the agency’s 24-hour crisis intervention hotline.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Title: Operations Aide

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Department: Client Services Program

Reports to: Crisis Intervention Manager

Pay Rate: $37,200 year $17.88 hour

Position Overview

The Operations Aide is responsible for the transporting of clients to and from appointments, interviews, and resources to assist in overcoming the abuse they have experienced.

Hours

40 hours weekly minimum or as necessary to achieve program objective, tasks, activities, and responsibilities and to effectively document outcome measures and variations.

Typical work schedule to include but not limited to: Sunday – Off, Monday – 8:30 am to 5:30 pm/Tuesday - 8:30 am to 5:30 pm/Wednesday – 2nd & 4th 6:30 am to 2:30 pm/Thursday – 8:30 am to 5:30 pm/Friday – 8:30 am to 5:30 pm/Saturday – Off, with the flexibility to meet the demands of client transportation needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide transportation assistance for shelter, hotel and non-residential clients.
• Schedule and maintain a weekly calendar of approved client transportation.
• Complete proper documentation of client transportation and submit logs weekly for service documentation.
• Assist with weekly walk-through of agency vehicles (4 vans) to ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep.
• Assist the Donation Center & Client Closet operations by picking up and dropping off donations from the community for clients.
• Answer the Agency’s crisis intervention via the agency’s 24-hour hotline.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in transportation services.
• Possession of valid, non-suspended Texas Driver’s License.

Education and Other Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Must pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle report, and reference checks
• Must have a clean driving record/ have automobile insurance coverage and be insurable/ have at least 3 years of verifiable driving experience.
• Ability to work untraditional hours, evenings, and weekends.Ability to lift/carry/move a minimum of 40 lbs. for an extended distance.
