Job summary

LaSalle Network is partnering with a leading global logistics provider to identify an Operations Coordinator - Air Export to join their Wood Dale, IL team. You will support daily operational workflows, ensure data accuracy, and coordinate air export shipments.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of air export experience, strong attention to detail, and a customer-service mindset to manage documentation, tracking, and invoicing in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Air Export/Freight Forwarding experience.
• Experience with Air Export operations, including shipment processing, documentation, tracking, and carrier coordination
• Strong customer service, data entry, and high-volume email management skills
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of Air Export documentation, shipment tracking, and customer invoicing/billing
• Familiarity with Dangerous Goods (DG), TSA, and IATA regulations
• Strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Enter and process Air Export shipment information accurately within KWE's systems.
• Generate required export documentation and ensure appropriate rates, charges, and export filing requirements are applied.
• Coordinate shipment pickups from customers/vendors to KWE's Wood Dale facility.
• Track and trace shipments with carriers from origin through final destination.
• Prepare, assemble, and distribute required Air Export documentation.
• Support freight inspections and ensure shipments meet applicable IATA flight standards.
• Create customer invoices and assist with troubleshooting billing discrepancies or issues.
• Accurately update shipment milestones to ensure proper processing by operations and warehouse teams and adherence to KPI requirements.
• Follow account-specific SOPs to maintain consistent and accurate service.
• Communicate shipment updates, issues, and exceptions internally and with customers.
• Manage a high volume of email communication and account activity while meeting required deadlines.
• Escalate account, shipment, or documentation issues appropriately.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Air Export/Freight Forwarding experience (required)
• Experience with Air Export operations, including shipment processing, documentation, tracking, and carrier coordination

Logistics

• This is an onsite full-time role with shifts scheduled within an 8am-5pm window and some flexibility based on business needs.
