Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is working with a manufacturing client in Connecticut to identify an Operations Accountant for a hybrid role. You will support plant leadership, manage inventory, and drive cost analysis and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Manufacturing accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with inventory and cost accounting and financial analysis.
• Budgeting and forecasting experience.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and operational reporting.
• Experience collaborating with operations and plant leadership.
• Proficient Excel and ERP system usage.
• Ability to identify process improvements and drive results.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead inventory accounting and maintain accurate inventory controls and reconciliations.
• Oversee and audit physical inventory processes.
• Manage fixed asset accounting and plant asset controls.
• Perform inventory analysis and identify operational improvement opportunities.
• Support cost reduction initiatives and material usage analysis.
• Develop and administer plant budgets and forecasts.
• Analyze financial statements and present recommendations to management.
• Provide plant leadership with financial and operational reporting.
• Support accounts payable, inventory control, and general accounting functions.
• Monitor financial performance and assist in strategic decision-making.
• Participate as a key member of the plant leadership team.
• Ensure SOX compliance requirements are met.
• Support payroll-related issue resolution and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Strong Excel and ERP system experience


• Ability to identify process improvements and drive results


• Excellent communication and presentation skills
