Job summary

CFS, a family-owned manufacturing organization in Wisconsin with over 125 years of history, is seeking an Accounting Manager who will own day-to-day accounting and partner with leadership on financial decisions.

You will lead month-end close, improve processes, and drive accurate reporting across inventory, manufacturing, accounts payable and receivable. This hands-on role offers visibility and growth in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; MBA or CPA welcomed.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger activity, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end/year-end close.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports while ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
• Oversee accounting processes related to inventory, manufacturing operations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other key areas.
• Partner with leadership and operational teams to analyze financial results, identify trends, and support business decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, controls, and reporting while taking ownership of special projects and initiatives.
