Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC seeks a Senior Plant Accountant in Oak Brook, IL to own cost accounting and factory financials, partnering with plant leadership to drive insights and decisions. This role blends accounting, operations, and business partnering across multiple manufacturing sites.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in manufacturing accounting, strong Excel and GAAP knowledge, and experience with ERP systems (IQMS a plus).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Manufacturing accounting experience preferred.
• Strong Excel skills with experience analyzing large datasets.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems; IQMS experience is a plus.
• Ability to travel up to 50% to manufacturing locations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and reporting packages.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, margins, and operational variances.
• Manage general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Maintain and analyze standard costs and manufacturing cost structures.
• Monitor inventory accuracy through reconciliations and cycle count reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, audits, tax compliance, and internal controls.
