What you’ll do

·Process invoices by performing such tasks as coding, matching, and verifying payment amounts

·Accurate and efficient data input adhering to schedule distributed in terms of deadlines/timelines

·Answer inquiries from suppliers regarding payment within 24-hour turnaround time in professional and courteous manner

·Complete any required investigation into backup documents, etc.

·Accurately file all processed invoices and matching payment documentation to meet filing standards

·Perform routine monthly accounting tasks in support of the month end close process and financial reporting, such as account analysis, month end reporting support, ad hoc analysis and other bookkeeping tasks

·Perform other finance or administrative tasks as directed

·Perform other related duties as assigned

What you bring

  • Experience working full cycle accounts payable in the homebuilding industry, including construction activities and working with lien-waivers and pre-liens
  • Good understanding of basic accounting coupled with 1-5 years prior experience working in AP and GL accounting
  • Good computer skills with experience in MS Office especially Word, Excel, Outlook and any accounting packages
  • JDE experience preferred
  • Data entry experience with high degree of accuracy
  • Good investigative and reconciliation skills
  • Good customer service and interpersonal skills in dealing with internal and external customers
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines while remaining well organized

Bonus points

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or other related industry preferred, not required
