The team is responsible for risk management, internal audit, supplier revenue, tax, insurance, and investor relations, finance operations, corporate financial planning and analysis, strategy and business insights, and procurement and facilities.

Position overview

As a Senior Accountant in the CWT Client Revenue Accounting Department, you will play a key role in the billing/revenue cycle of the company in preparing and/or supporting the client settlements (invoices) and reconciliation process for our client portfolio. In this role, you will be working closely with Finance Operations leadership, the Client Executives,Legal team, and Pricing team to understand processes, contract terms and conditions to ensure end-to-end proper billing and revenue recognition. You will also work closely with the Finance Operations team members and Client Executives in the follow up of the accounts receivable related to the client's invoices to improve timely collection of aged receivables. There will be opportunities to take on other tasks and other special projects as assigned to the department to improve month-end and year-end coordination of the settlement process and other processes, including documentation, reporting, and data elements necessary for accurate and timely invoicing. In this role, you will utilize your previous accounting experience, knowledge of accounting and GAAP, attention to detail, process improvement focus, change managementand strong personal communication and analytical skills to drive results and work to support the department and the overall company goals.

Position Description

• Understanding and applying billing/revenue accounting practices and principles to client signed portfolio


• Preparing client invoices timely following the client contract terms and conditions and/or supporting overall process and documentation to ensure accuracy and collective completion


• During month end, preparing or supporting operational framework of the monthly accruals and potential journal entries for the client portfolio, client P&L analysis and commentary, and unbilled balance sheet reconciliation and commentary for the client portfolio


• Researching and resolving discrepancies and issues that arise with the client billing through requests initiated by Client Executives and/or the regional Customer Director


• Participating (upon request) in internal or external company audits to ensure billing compliance is met according to client contract terms and conditions


• Working closely with the Client Executives to answer questions related to assigned client billing and assist them with client-related analysis as requested


• Assisting with other CWT Client Revenue Accounting Department process, documentation, reporting, and system improvement projects and initiatives as assigned

• Previous accounting experience (3-5 years)
