Job summary

CACI International Inc is seeking an Operational Test Engineer to lead test design, planning, and execution for Navy programs, including data collection and reporting. The role focuses on ensuring accurate evaluation and documentation of test results in support of NSWC Corona operations out of Norfolk, VA.

The position requires a strong OT&E background, experience with M&S accreditation, and willingness to travel/operate onboard naval vessels, with a DoD SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

  • Requires combination of 6 years’ operational experience and T&E experience, with at least 3 years operational and 3 years T&E.
  • Undergraduate degree or relevant experience in OT&E.
  • Experience within the last two years conducting an OT&E IAW a COMOPTEFOR-approved OT Plan.
  • Experience in developing M&S Accreditation Packages and Accreditation Letters.
  • Ability to support data collection and test execution onboard a US Naval vessel at sea.

  • Coordinate review of program documentation to improve testability and assess inputs to design and planning.

  • Adapt test conditions or schedule as needed and warn leadership of safety concerns.
  • Prepare test reports and contribute to WDC tactics guides.

The Opportunity

CACI is seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on, and productive Operational Test Engineer to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for leading the test team in test design, test planning, thorough test execution to include detailed data collection, and analysis to ensure observed results are accurately evaluated and documented in the Test Report in support of NSWC Corona operating out of Norfolk Virginia.

Responsibilities
  • Direct test design, test planning, test execution, and test reporting efforts
  • In coordination with the Section Head or designated representative, ensure assigned team provides clear and consistent communications relevant to OT with internal and external stakeholders. Principal liaison with program office Assistant Program Manager (APM) T&E and member(s) of the T&E Working Integrated Product Team (WIPT) for assigned programs within the portfolio.
  • Coordinate review of relevant program documentation, both to provide feedback regarding testability to the originator and to assess inputs to test design and test planning.
  • Direct test execution, in coordination with Fleet stakeholders, and ensure test data are properly collected in a timely manner per the approved test plan.
  • Plan for and be prepared to modify test conditions or schedule, keeping division leadership informed, if unusual circumstances are encountered or if warranted by safety concerns.
  • Directs team in preparing test reports and contribute to Warfare Development Center (WDC) tactics guides, as directed.
  • Ensure iBoss Program Manager is current and accurate for all assigned projects. Actively monitor iBoss Document Router in the progress of applicable documents toward timely signature.
  • Ensures team is prepared to brief program status and test results.
  • Maintains, with support from assigned team, a program-specific chronological record that includes decisions made, issues identified and serves as a running record of program history.
  • Ensure iBoss Program Manager is current and accurate for all assigned projects. Actively monitor iBoss Document Router in the progress of applicable documents toward timely signature.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must have a combination of 6 years’ operational experience and T&E experience, with at least 3 years being operational experience and at least 3 years being T&E experience.
  • The identified T&E specialist has an undergraduate degree or relevant experience.
  • Experience within the last two years conducting an Operational Test and Evaluation IAW a COMOPTEFOR-approved Operational Test Plan.
  • Experience in developing Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Accreditation Packages and Accreditation Letters.
  • Ability to support data collection and test execution onboard a US Naval vessel at sea
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be willing to travel and ride ships underway
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance
  • Must be willing to work on site in Norfolk, VA

The Proposed Salary Range For This Position Is

$75,200-$158,100
