Job summary

CACI seeks a detail-oriented Operational Test Engineer to lead test design, planning, execution, and data analysis in support of NSWC Corona operations out of Norfolk, VA. The role requires combining operational and T&E experience, a DoD SECRET clearance, and willingness to travel up to 50%.

You will coordinate with program offices and WIPT, ensure test data integrity, and contribute to test reports and guidance documents. On-site at Norfolk is expected.

Qualifications

• Combination of 6 years' operational experience and T&E experience (at least 3 years operational and 3 years T&E).
• Undergraduate degree or relevant experience in the field.
• Experience within the last two years conducting an Operational Test and Evaluation IAW a COMOPTEFOR-approved OT Plan.
• Experience developing Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Accreditation Packages and Accreditation Letters.
• Ability to support data collection and test execution onboard a US Naval vessel at sea.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain/maintain DoD SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

• Direct test design, test planning, test execution, and test reporting for assigned programs per policies.
• Coordinate with stakeholders including APM T&E and WIPT for program testing.
• Review program documentation for testability and assess inputs to test design/planning.
• Direct test execution with Fleet stakeholders and ensure timely data collection.
• Modify test conditions/schedule as needed and inform leadership.
• Direct team in preparing test reports and contribute to tactics guides.
• Monitor iBoss Document Router to keep documents current and timely.
• Prepare program status briefs and maintain an audit-ready chronological record.

The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on, and productive Operational Test Engineer to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for leading the test team in test design, test planning, thorough test execution to include detailed data collection, and analysis to ensure observed results are accurately evaluated and documented in the Test Report in support of NSWC Corona operating out of Norfolk, Virginia.

Responsibilities:

• Direct test design, test planning, test execution, and test reporting efforts for the assigned programs per the Director's policies and guidance.
• In coordination with the Section Head or designated representative, ensure assigned team provides clear and consistent communications relevant to OT with internal and external stakeholders. Principal liaison with program office Assistant Program Manager (APM) T&E and member(s) of the T&E Working Integrated Product Team (WIPT) for assigned programs within the portfolio.
• Coordinate review of relevant program documentation, both to provide feedback regarding testability to the originator and to assess inputs to test design and test planning.
• Direct test execution, in coordination with Fleet stakeholders, and ensure test data are properly collected in a timely manner per the approved test plan.
• Plan for and be prepared to modify test conditions or schedule, keeping division leadership informed, if unusual circumstances are encountered or if warranted by safety concerns.
• Directs team in preparing test reports and contribute to Warfare Development Center (WDC) tactics guides, as directed.
• Ensure iBoss Program Manager is current and accurate for all assigned projects. Actively monitor iBoss Document Router in the progress of applicable documents toward timely signature.
• Ensures team is prepared to brief program status and test results.
• Maintains, with support from assigned team, a program-specific chronological record that includes decisions made, issues identified and serves as a running record of program history.
• Ensure iBoss Program Manager is current and accurate for all assigned projects. Actively monitor iBoss Document Router in the progress of applicable documents toward timely signature.

• Required:

  • The identified T&E specialist has an undergraduate degree or relevant experience.
  • Experience within the last two years conducting an Operational Test and Evaluation IAW a COMOPTEFOR-approved Operational Test Plan.
  • Experience in developing Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Accreditation Packages and Accreditation Letters.
  • Ability to support data collection and test execution onboard a US Naval vessel at sea
