Job summary

ACI International Inc. in Sterling, VA is seeking a self‑motivated Test Engineer to support a fast‑paced counter‑uncrewed aircraft systems mission within its Electronic Warfare sector.

You will join the Systems Engineering team to design, develop, deploy and operate test activities for software and hardware across prototypes and production artifacts. The role emphasizes test plan development, RF/test equipment familiarity, and collaboration within a Microsoft Teams/Office environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience or 5+ years in lieu of degree.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Experience designing and executing test plans and procedures.
  • Experience using JIRA/Confluence within Agile two-week sprints.
  • Experience with system configurations (cable and assembly documentation).
  • Understanding of Docker and Linux to analyze logs and debug tests.
  • Familiar with RF systems and test equipment (spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, etc.).
  • Experience with networking infrastructure products (servers, switches, firewalls, routers).
  • Basic Linux commands and navigation; strong communication in Microsoft Teams/Office/SharePoint.
  • Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

  • Develop test procedures that verify software and hardware requirements for prototypes and production artifacts.
  • Lead customer test events and document results.

Responsibilities

As a Test Engineer, you will be a part of the Systems Engineering team responsible for design, development, deployment and operations lifecycle. You will apply your hardware and software testing expertise against prototype and production artifacts ensuring requirements are successfully accomplished. You will be responsible for developing test procedures that verify requirements are satisfied for both software and hardware, testing against prototype and production artifacts, and leading customer test events.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience or 5+ years in lieu of degree
  • US Citizenship
  • Experience designing and executing test plans and procedures
  • Experience using Atlassian JIRA/Confluence work management tools to capture, prioritize, and track bugs and feature enhancement requests in an Agile workflow paradigm within two-week sprints managed via daily scrums
  • Experience with managing and documenting system configurations (cable and assembly documentation)
  • Understanding of software containers, such as docker, and ability to analyze API and event logs via Linux environment tools to debug test results
  • Familiarity with radio frequency (RF) systems and test equipment (spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, signal generator, multimeter etc.)
  • Experience with computer networking infrastructure products such as servers, switches, firewalls, and routers
  • Must know the basic commands and navigation of the Linux operating system
  • Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating in Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Suite, and SharePoint
  • Able to obtain TS/SCI security clearance
