Job summary

Ariel Corporation in Mount Vernon, OH is seeking an Operational Supervisor for Assembly to lead floor activities, drive safety, quality and productivity, and coach a team toward continuous improvement.

You will balance production demands with employee development, provide clear direction, and ensure accountability while maintaining a strong team. Night shifts are available with Monday-Thursday weekdays and weekend rotations.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED
• 5+ years of experience in Operations Leadership in Assembly or a manufacturing environment
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
• Associate’s degree in a related field is preferred, but not required
• Ability to coach, develop, mentor, and lead a team
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills
• Self-motivated and self-managed with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Lead activities on the production floor to meet safety, quality and productivity standards
• Coach, develop, and mentor employees and provide clear direction
• Balance operational demands with employee development to keep production moving
• Maintain accountability and drive continuous improvement in the team
• Oversee night shifts and weekend rotations, with a Monday-Thursday schedule and weekend coverage

What We Are Seeking:

We’re looking for hands‑on Assembly Supervisors to lead activities in our production environment. In this role, you’ll lead employee performance on the floor, while maintaining all safety, quality and productivity standards. You’ll build and maintain a strong team as you coach, develop, and mentor employees, provide clear direction, and foster a mindset of accountability and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be able to balance operational demands with employee development, keeping production moving while ensuring the success of the team.

Opportunities are available for both of our night shifts, weekdays, Monday - Thursday, and weekends, Friday - Sunday.
