Job summary

Ariel Corporation in Akron, OH is seeking a Janitorial team member within our Maintenance Department to uphold strict cleanliness and organizational standards. The right candidate will maintain neat and professional facilities and assist with general plant tasks.

Daily duties include operating floor scrubbers and power equipment, using forklifts to move chip hoppers from CNC machines, and assisting the maintenance team on facility projects as needed. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Safe use of power equipment including scrubbers and polishers.
• Experience with Powered Industrial Trucks (forklifts, cranes, tow motors, genie booms).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Commitment to cleanliness and facility upkeep.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer knowledge to requisition supplies and access records.
• Strong written and verbal communication; willingness to train others.
• Familiarity with manufacturing QA/QC procedures.

• Maintain Ariel facilities at the highest level of cleanliness.

• Move chip hoppers and load/unload as needed using forklifts.

Shifts:

• Monday - ThursdayDAYS: 5:00am or 6:30am – 3:30pm or 5:00pm

Job Summary:

Ariel is looking for a Janitorial team member within our MaintenanceDepartment to uphold our strict standards for cleanliness and organization. Theright candidate must always preserve the neat and professional condition of thefacilities. Ariel Janitorial staff use forklifts on a daily basis to empty chiphoppers from CNC machines, empty trash, run floor scrubbers, and assist the Maintenanceteam with facility projects as needed.

Job Responsibilities / Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Proper and safe use of power equipment, including scrubbing and/orbuffing equipment, polishers, carpet shampooers or vacuums
• Demonstrated experience using Powered Industrial Trucks, includingcranes, tow motors, forklifts and genie booms
• Ability to maintain a current and valid driver’s license
• Demonstrated ability to maintain Ariel facilities with the highest levelof cleanliness, including production floor tasks
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, with minimal supervision,and complete all required tasks on a regular basis as required
• Basic computer knowledge, with ability to requisition supplies forcleaning duties and retrieve GHS records as necessary
• Solid written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated abilityto provide one-on-one training, as well as ongoing, informal guidance andfeedback, to new employees as required
• Team member experience; collaboration and incorporation of suggestionsfor quality improvements
• Understanding and application of all quality management systemprocedures and processes related to job tasks; observance of all safetypolicies and procedures
• Experience with or knowledge of manufacturing practices (ISO, safety,quality, etc.)
