Responsibilities

• Managing end-to-end client onboarding, including new accounts, sub-accounts and managed funds.
• Maintaining client static data, SSIs, commission details and regulatory classifications.
• Overseeing trade booking and allocation through CTM, FIX and manual workflows.
• Supporting equities, fixed income and U.S. Treasury trade processing.
• Managing the full booking, matching and settlement lifecycle across global and domestic markets.
• Investigating settlement breaks, fails, unmatched trades and SSI discrepancies.
• Performing daily position reconciliations.
• Completing TRACE reporting for fixed income products.
• Supporting audits and maintaining operational procedures and governance.
• Leading operational projects, system upgrades and process improvements.
• Managing exceptions including penalties, buy-ins, corporate actions and cash discrepancies.
• Providing high-quality client support across the trade lifecycle.
• Mentoring and developing junior members of the team.

Associate Director – Operations | New York |

A leading financial services firm is looking to hire an Associate Director – Operations to join its New York team.

This is a senior role within Operations, responsible for overseeing the full trade lifecycle across global and domestic markets, supporting clients from onboarding and account setup through trade booking, matching, settlement and reconciliation.

You’ll be a key operational point of contact for clients and counterparties, while also helping to strengthen processes, controls and operational efficiency across the business.

The role will include:

• Managing end-to-end client onboarding, including new accounts, sub-accounts and managed funds
• Maintaining client static data, SSIs, commission details and regulatory classifications
• Overseeing trade booking and allocation through CTM, FIX and manual workflows
• Supporting equities, fixed income and U.S. Treasury trade processing
• Managing the full booking, matching and settlement lifecycle across global and domestic markets
• Investigating settlement breaks, fails, unmatched trades and SSI discrepancies
• Performing daily position reconciliations
• Completing TRACE reporting for fixed income products
• Supporting UAT, regression testing and system changes through JIRA
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls and operational efficiency
• Supporting audits and maintaining operational procedures and governance
• Leading operational projects, system upgrades and process improvements
• Managing exceptions including penalties, buy-ins, corporate actions and cash discrepancies
• Providing high-quality client support across the trade lifecycle
• Mentoring and developing junior members of the team

We’re looking for someone with:

• 7–10+ years’ experience across Operations, Middle Office, Back Office or Trade Support within financial markets
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end trade lifecycle and global settlement
• Experience across equities and fixed income, ideally including U.S. Treasuries
• Strong client-facing and trade support experience
• Experience with CTM, FIX and/or DTCC ALERT
• Familiarity with FINRA TRAQS and TRACE
• Strong understanding of static data, SSIs
• Series 7 or SIE & Series 99 licenses are required.
