Job summary

Charles Schwab seeks a Senior Manager, Operational Resilience to lead the design, implementation, and ongoing maturity of the firm’s Operational Resilience Framework. This role partners across the three lines of defense to anticipate, withstand, respond to, and recover from disruption while maintaining delivery of critical products and services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, Risk Management, or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, Technology Risk, Cyber Risk, Operational Risk, or related disciplines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with experience developing executive and board-level materials.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across all levels.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

• Lead and support execution of the Operational Resilience strategic roadmap and maturity enhancements.
• Evolve the resilience framework with governance, policy, standards and methodologies aligned to regulatory expectations.
• Provide oversight of business continuity, crisis management, and core resilience pillars.
• Develop reporting for senior leadership, risk committees and governance forums, including dashboards and metrics.
• Prepare executive materials outlining resilience posture, risks, themes, and remediation progress.
• Support governance routines, committees and cross-functional forums.
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings to assess resilience risks across processes, tech, cyber and third parties.
• Oversee scenario testing and resilience exercises, evaluating outcomes and identifying gaps.
• Aggregate risks and themes to inform enterprise resilience priorities.
• Enhance resilience data quality, traceability, and usability across systems, vendors, locations, and personnel.
• Build relationships across business units, technology, risk and support functions to drive integrated outcomes.
• Serve as trusted advisor on resilience expectations and program requirements.
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives to address resilience gaps and strengthen end-to-end capabilities.
