We are seeking an Operational Readiness Test System Engineer to support the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS).

As an Operational Readiness Test System Engineer supporting PEO IWS, you will lead a multidisciplinary, geographically dispersed team to provide engineering planning, design, integration, installation, and testing of Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) onboard ships post-construction and during maintenance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing, designing, integrating, testing, installing, operating, supporting, and maintaining the Operational Readiness Test System (ORTS) components and support systems.
  • Ensuring proper activation and operation of ORTS within the Aegis Weapon System infrastructure, including safety, diagnostics, crew training, configuration, and interface management.
  • Providing expertise in ORTS configuration and operation to support ACS testing and employment.
  • Identifying, reporting, and resolving equipment and software issues related to ORTS functionality, system configuration, and interface.
  • Collaborating with team members to meet customer deadlines and documenting test discrepancies for future updates.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with 6+ or 10+ years of experience.
  • US DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within the GDIT Navy and Marine Corps sector.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

The salary range is approximately $82,283 - $111,323, based on experience, location, and contractual factors.

Work Details:

  • Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
  • Travel Required: 10-25%
  • Telecommuting Options: Onsite
