Job summary

Maximus is seeking an Operational Psychologist to apply behavioral science for SOF assessment, selection, and resilience enhancement. The role requires active security clearance eligibility and close collaboration with SOF leadership.

You will supervise staff, conduct advanced psychological assessments, and support program development, training, and consultation across unit levels while adhering to APA guidelines and professional standards.

Qualifications

• PhD or PsyD in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited college or university.
• Active license such as LCSW/LMSW in the practicing state is required.
• Minimum of two years post-doctoral experience in operational psychology.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of employees and cultivate a high-performance environment.
• Provide clinical and operational psychology expertise to SOF personnel.
• Develop and plan resiliency programs with stakeholders.
• Support assessment and selection programs to improve match and effectiveness.
• Conduct psychological assessments and consult with command personnel.
• Deliver crisis response and follow-up care as needed.
