Job summary

Framatome is seeking an Operational Excellence Leader (Fuel Design) in Lynchburg, VA to drive Lean and continuous improvement across the design and operations teams. The role focuses on training, coaching, and implementing improvements aligned with corporate objectives, with a strong emphasis on data-driven decision making.

You will lead A3 projects, facilitate process mapping and digital transformation initiatives, and report on major performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of engineering standards, processes, tools, techniques and criteria.
• Ability to simplify complex topics and connect with operational context.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement processes, methods and metrics.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management.
• Ability to lead, motivate and effect change.
• Strong foundation in Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Passion for data and digital tools; familiarity with Power BI, data lakes, or AI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct training on Quality & Continuous Improvement (Principles of Excellence).
• Facilitate A3 projects and 8D Event Resolution.
• Support Master Plan development and Digital Transformation initiatives.
• Provide reporting on VoC, Excellence System rollout, FMEA, A3 Progress, and Master Plan.
• Interface with the Global OpEx Network.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Total Rewards Package

• Salary: $85,000 - $116,000, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
