Job summary

Framatome North America is seeking an engineer to contribute to design, development, analysis, testing, and field tasks supporting nuclear energy projects in the United States. You will work on standard and some non-standard assignments, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 2+ years of related experience, and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Dependent on position, Physics, Engineering Technology and Engineering Science degrees may be accepted.
  • Advanced proficiency with specialized software tools and programming languages as required by the role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform standard and non-standard engineering assignments in design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, specifications, field tasks, quality events resolution.
  • Solve straightforward problems using standard procedures and assess solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and engineering standards with senior staff support.
  • Independently evaluate, select and apply standard techniques and criteria with minor adaptations.

What You’ll Do Day-To-Day
  • Perform standard and non-standard engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks resolution of field problems and resolution of quality events.
  • Solve a range of straightforward problems, analyze solutions and assess each using standard procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, organization, industry and customer engineering standards with support of senior staff.
  • Independently evaluate, select and apply standard technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications for tasks previously performed.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Operations/Process Engineering or Maintenance Engineering
  • Experience with pellet presses or walking beam sintering furnaces
  • Experience with spare parts management, interfacing with Maintenance Craft and Operations personnel.

Total Rewards Package

Total Rewards Package

  • Salary: $97,000 - $105,000, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
