Job summary

Victor Sierra Aviation seeks an Operational Excellence Leader for a 24-month development assignment across two operating companies, supporting OPEX transformations at Burlington, NC, and other locations. You will lead kaizen events, coach teams, and drive improvements in safety, quality, and delivery while embedding continuous improvement culture.

The role requires manufacturing/ops experience in aerospace or regulated settings, strong problem-solving, and the ability to relocate for 24 months

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related technical field.
• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering or operations, ideally in aerospace or a similarly regulated environment.
• Leadership or informal team-lead experience or clear desire to grow into leadership.
• Familiarity with aerospace quality standards and regulatory requirements (FAA, AS9100, ISO).
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability with measurable improvements in manufacturing or operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate OPEX initiatives, including kaizen events and continuous improvement projects, to reduce waste, improve flow, and increase efficiency across production lines.
• Drive measurable improvements in safety, first-pass yield, productivity, and delivery performance.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma tools such as 3P, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, A3, SMED, Standard Work, Kanban, RCA, and Visual Management.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to align improvement activities with plant and vertical goals.
