Job summary

Flowserve is seeking a CIP Engineer to identify and implement improvements across manufacturing, emphasizing Lean and Six Sigma approaches. You will partner with operations, engineering, maintenance, and quality to drive measurable, sustainable gains in safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.

The role requires strong data-driven problem solving, hands-on leadership, and the ability to influence teams across the organization.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• MS in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field preferred.
• Six Sigma Black Belt, Green Belt, or LEAN certification required or preferred.
• 8+ years’ experience in a manufacturing and/or engineering environment.
• ERP systems knowledge, SAP production modules preferred.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and support lean manufacturing: develop cell layouts based on demand, include safety/ergonomics, data tracking, and quality checks.
• Champion continuous improvement efforts across manufacturing processes.
• Use data to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Work with cross-functional teams to improve lead times and reduce costs of nonconformances.
• Develop and implement best-practice Lean vision, strategies, and procedures to boost performance.
• Support and review new business initiatives and projects.
• Develop a robust continuous improvement strategy with stakeholders.
• Support company mission and targets.
• Manage production, projects, risks, budgets, resources, and milestones.
• Define actions to ensure success and conformity.
• Organize training using train-the-trainer methodology.
• Identify opportunities with proactive implementation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies (HSE).
• Foster encouragement, empowerment and engagement culture.
• Develop annual development plans and participate in succession planning.
• Motivate and coach for operational success.
• Input and manage budgets and forecasts (monthly/quarterly/annual).
• Monitor cost follow-up and overcome obstacles to targets.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships for optimal performance.
• Ensure effective interface with departmental staff; perform other duties as assigned.
