What We Are Looking For

The Operational Excellence Director will spearhead process improvement initiatives, implementing lean methodologies, Six Sigma, and other best practices to drive operational efficiency and enhance productivity. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, optimize manufacturing processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across all levels of the organization.

What You’ll Do
  1. Examine business processes and workflows to determine how they can be improved or automated, assess business requirements, and make evidence-based recommendations to support process improvements.
  2. Partner with leadership to prioritize improvement opportunities and support strategic initiatives.
  3. Research and conduct site observations to identify the equipment, methods, and personnel needed for effective processes.
  4. Work closely with operational leaders to identify opportunities for process enhancements.
  5. Provide training and guidance to teams on new processes and how to identify improvement opportunities, building awareness on continual improvement initiatives.
  6. Drive the design and implementation of new business processes with organizational context and priorities in mind.
  7. Manage the Hoshin planning process for Solesis and monitor the attainment of the Breakthrough Objectives and the Top Improvement Projects (TIPs).
  8. Standardize best practices and processes across the organization to ensure consistency and sustainability.
  9. Establish key performance metrics and dashboards for monitoring operational performance.
  10. Monitor, measure, and analyze the effectiveness of new initiatives and processes, making adjustments as needed.
  11. Structure a large amount of information within a process framework, model business processes, and use process/workflow software to create process models.
  12. Facilitate root-cause problem-solving techniques to drive out losses and reduce waste.
  13. Conduct regular operational reviews and audits.
  14. Identify operational risks and develop mitigation plans.
  15. Lead cross-functional project teams to drive process improvements.
  16. Document business process modeling activities for future reference.
Who You Are
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or equivalent.
  2. A minimum of 10 years’ experience in operational roles or continuous improvement positions.
  3. Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies; Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is preferred.
  4. Proven track record of successful process improvement implementation with measurable results.
  5. Experience sharing and transferring knowledge to teams to create champions of change.
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Ability to manage projects and lead cross-functional teams.
  8. Strong project management skills.
  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
