Job summary

Intermountain Health Park City Hospital in Park City, Utah is seeking a Surgical Services Support Technician to safely transport patients to the OR, PACU, and rooms, while restocking equipment and maintaining sterile technique. You will support rapid case turnovers and collaborate with the surgical team under strict safety protocols.

This role requires BLS certification within 3 months, completion of Basic Aseptic Technique within 90 days, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers, or completion within three months of employment.
• Pass Basic Aseptic Technique class within 90 days of hire or transfer into role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to fulfill on-call and weekend shift requirements and provide emergency staffing support as needed.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients safely to and from the OR holding area, PACU or patient rooms.
• Consults with the anesthesiologist and RN to determine equipment, setup, and supply needs prior to procedures.
• Prepares rooms with necessary equipment and supplies for procedures and turnover.
• Processes post-surgical case carts, discards sharps, and sends carts for reprocessing.
• Maintains sanitation and supports turnover with sterile technique and equipment.
