Johnson Regional Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the operating room team, assisting the surgeon and anesthesia team during procedures while maintaining sterile technique and a safe environment. You will prepare the room, instruments, and supplies, monitor counts, and participate in performance improvement activities.

The role requires a high school diploma, current BLS certification, and ability to communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred graduation from a Surgical Technology program.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsabilités

• Assist surgeon during operative and invasive procedures.
• Ensure operating room is prepared for procedure.
• Communicate with surgeon and anesthesiologist about patient condition.
• Maintain sterile technique and asepsis during procedures.
• Prepare room and instruments, count sponges, needles, and instruments.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
• Cleans and sterilizes instruments and supplies.
