Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency seeks a skilled Surgical Technician to support the operating room team with instruments, equipment, and aseptic practices. You will prepare for procedures, manage instrument counts, and help maintain a safe, efficient environment.

Ideal candidates hold NBSTSA/NCCT certification, a high school diploma or GED, and BLS within 90 days. Prior surgical tech experience is preferred, with strict adherence to infection control and OSHA policies.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program.
• One year of surgical technician experience preferred.
• Surgical Technician Certification NBSTSA/NCCT or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 90 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient procedure preparation and organizing instruments for efficiency.
• Ensure proper functioning of surgical instruments and equipment during procedures.
• Maintain aseptic environment and label/dispatch solutions and medications per policy.
• Demonstrate procedural knowledge, dexterity, and specimen management.
• Prepare equipment and supplies, perform counts, and manage time effectively.
• Attend meetings and adhere to infection control, OSHA, and regulatory policies.
• Perform additional duties to ensure optimal patient and staff satisfaction.
