Job summary

SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time TH CTS Operating Room Associate in the Department of Perioperative Services. You will function as a surgical technologist, assist with procedures, participate in patient care, quality reviews, and staff education.

Responsibilities include aftercare of equipment, instrument sterilization, and collaborating with the team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You will also precept students and transport patients as needed.

Qualifications

• Surgical Technologist program completed and accredited.
• Three years of full-time OR Surgical Technologist experience.
• Certification as Surgical Technologist within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all surgical procedures as a surgical technologist.
• Participate in care provision, monitoring and evaluation of staff and equipment.
• Precept OR staff and students in the scrub role and transport patients.
