Qualifications

• Holds a CST credential as required by NBSTSA or an approved alternative.
• Experience in sterile technique and perioperative workflows.

Responsibilities

• Prepares operating room and sterile field for procedures.
• Assists with receiving, labeling and verifying sterile solutions and meds.
• Maintains asepsis and assists surgeon throughout procedures.
• Accurately counts sponges, needles and instruments.
• Supports patient positioning, draping, and transfer as needed.
• Operates and assists with surgical equipment and sterilizers.
