Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team. You will assist in aseptic preparation, instrument handling, and patient positioning to support surgical procedures.

The role includes room setup, equipment transport, and ensuring a sterile field throughout cases. We require completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program, BLS certification within 6 months, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program is required.
• All aseptic techniques must be followed in preparation and handling of instruments.
• Excellent patient care and teamwork skills are essential.
• Basic computer skills are encouraged for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a sterile field and assists surgeons in the OR.
• Sets up and organizes instruments and supplies for procedures.
• Transports equipment and prepares rooms for cases.
• Assists with gowning, gloving and patient positioning as needed.
• Adheres to hospital safety and infection control policies.
