SGMC Health Careers in Valdosta, GA seeks a Surgical Services Transporter for the Main Campus, Operating Room. You will transport patients and equipment to and from Surgical Services, provide assistance with room setup and patient positioning, and support surgical staff to ensure safe and timely care.

The role requires CPR certification and 2–3 years of related experience; you will work 8-hour day shifts, with a schedule from 11:00 to 19:00, and collaborate with nursing staff to maintain high

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification.
• Two to three years related experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to patients, family members, visitors and staff.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to follow policies and procedures.

Responsabilités

• Transports patients, equipment, and other SGMC Health items to and from Surgical Services.
• Provides technical support for Surgical Services and assists with supply retrieval.
• Assists with room setup, patient positioning, and prepping with supervision.
• Collaborates with surgical nursing personnel to assist with direct and indirect patient care.
