Job summary

Intermountain Health Spanish Fork Hospital is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the Anesthesia Care Team by maintaining equipment, stocking supplies, transporting patients, and assisting during emergencies.

This part-time role offers opportunities for career growth, requires BLS, and may involve on-call responsibilities and cross-department coverage; the schedule is 24 hours per week with 12-hour shifts on Wednesday and Thursday.

Qualifications

• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Level II requires demonstrated competency as Anesthesia Tech I or equivalent.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; basic knowledge of anesthesia equipment and sterile technique.

Responsibilities

• Check, calibrate, restock, prepare, and maintain anesthesia equipment and supply carts across areas supported by the anesthesia team.
• Ensure all equipment is sterilized and functioning according to standards.
• Assist with room turnover and prepare anesthesia equipment for procedures.
• Manage collection, cleaning, and processing of contaminated anesthesia equipment following procedures.
• Disinfects and cleans anesthesia equipment and environment per IFU.
• Transport patients safely to and from the operating room and other areas.
• Perform Point-of-Care testing and quality control procedures; sterilize equipment as needed.
• May be on call or float to other departments as needed.
