Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Transports patients, supplies, specimens, blood and equipment as requested.
• Assists in lifting/transferring patients to the OR table and vice versa.
• Assists in holding patient extremities for surgical prep as directed.
• Prepares and positions devices in rooms for cases.
• Handles surgical specimens properly as directed.
• Performs turnover duties between cases and cleans equipment.
• Opens sterile supplies for the nursing team.
• Demonstrates proper aseptic technique consistently.
• Ensures equipment in rooms is ready for surgeries.
• Checks case carts for completeness and prepares supplies.
• Assists with inventory counts and restocks supplies.
• Restocks warmers and rotates fluids.
• Restocks unused supplies in OR and cleans related areas.
• Participates in hospital safety programs.
• Supports infection-control policies and patient confidentiality.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Maintains cleanliness around the OR and perioperative areas.
• Disposes of sharps and biohazard waste appropriately.
• Contributes to on-time starts and efficient turnovers.
