Job summary

Cone Health Medical Group in Greensboro, NC seeks an Operative Clinical Technician to assist the nurse in the operating room across pediatrics to geriatrics. The role ensures a clean, sterile environment and supports room preparation and equipment relocation under close supervision.

You will contribute to patient care plans, monitor supply levels, coordinate specimen and lab transport, and perform other duties as assigned in line with Infection Control guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of experience is required.
• BLS (CPR) certification from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that the Operating Room is clean and safe in accordance with hospital and Infection Control guidelines to provide a sterile environment.
• Prepares rooms for new patients as directed by the nurse to provide sufficient room availability for upcoming surgeries.
• Relocates Operating Room equipment to various locations in the hospital so that nurses are provided with all necessary sterile equipment for surgery.
• Provides care for patients under the supervision of the nurse in order to organize patient care plans and treatments.
• Monitors supply levels of necessary items like linens to provide a comfortable environment for patients.
• Handles the responses to requests for the transportation of specimens, patients, and labs in order to connect the proper resources with patient needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
