Job summary

Intermountain Health Riverton Hospital seeks a Surgical Services Support Technician to safely transport patients to OR/PACU, restock equipment, and maintain sterile technique. You will support turnover, assist with room setup, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure clean, organized environments.

The role requires BLS certification or progress within 3 months, Basic Aseptic Technique, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers, or completion within three months of employment.
• Pass Basic Aseptic Technique class within 90 days of hire or transfer into role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to fulfill on-call and weekend shift requirements and provide emergency staffing support as needed.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients safely to and from OR/PACU using proper handling techniques.
• Ensure timely room turnover with cleaning and equipment setup for next case.
• Assist with sterilization, supply management, and documentation as needed.
• Support surgical team and anesthesia requests; respond to code situations when required.
• Promote safety, sanitation, and adherence to aseptic techniques.
