Job summary

Intermountain Health Riverton Hospital is seeking a Surgical Services Support Technician to safely transport patients to and from the OR and PACU, prepare rooms, and maintain sterile conditions. You will support anesthesia and surgical teams with equipment, supplies, and timely case turnover.

Responsibilities include cleaning, restocking, specimen transport, and adherence to safety protocols, with on-call and weekend shift requirements as needed. Prior CNA experience and BLS are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Minimum BLS certification for Healthcare Providers or completion within three months.
• Pass Basic Aseptic Technique class within 90 days of hire or transfer.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to fulfill on-call and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from OR/PACU using proper handling techniques.
• Assist with room setup, turnover, cleaning, and sterile technique.
• Support anesthesia and surgical teams with equipment and supplies.
• Transport blood products and specimens following safety protocols.
• Restock supplies and maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Respond to emergencies and support code situations as needed.
• Assist with scrubbing, gowning, and gloving as trained.
