Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an OR Technician to support surgical services in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. The OR Tech will prepare operating rooms, ensure proper sterilization of instruments, assist surgeons and nurses during procedures, and maintain accurate counts and documentation.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, support quality improvement, and participate in ongoing training to advance skills and contribute to excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms and equipment setup.
• Sterilize and maintain instruments.
• Assist surgeons and nurses during procedures.
• Maintain counts and documentation.
• Turnover between cases and ensure readiness for next case.
• Adhere to infection control and safety standards.
