Job summary

Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center is seeking an Environmental Services Associate to clean the OR, PACU, and other areas, supporting a high-performing care team. You will help maintain a safe, organized environment and assist with equipment and supply logistics to support patient care.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, ability to read/write, independent work skills, and knowledge of aseptic technique.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to read and write to comprehend written and oral instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and universal precautions.

Responsibilities

• Performs general and terminal cleaning in the OR and other assigned areas daily, between procedures, and when required.
• Maintains a clean and orderly environment in the OR.
• Assists with OR procedures by gathering equipment and positioning devices.
• Reports equipment and positioning devices that are in need of repair.
• Orders and stocks OR suites and general areas with linens and supplies.
• Transports carts, instruments, supplies and equipment to various departments.
• Transports blood/blood products, specimens, and patients as directed.
