Job summary

Yale New Haven Health seeks an Environmental Services Technician to support patient care by assisting nursing staff, transporting patients, and maintaining clean, safe areas across the hospital. You will join a patient care team dedicated to PFCC and service excellence.

Responsibilities include cleaning duties in L & B and OR areas, managing equipment inventories, stocking supplies, and completing mandatory training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or educational equivalent.
• Additional educational training in inventory management, maintenance, sterile aseptic technique, biohazardous material decontamination and disinfecting, CNA and customer relations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical assistance to nursing staff performing patient care and transports patients throughout the hospital.
• Maintains cleaning of L & B and the OR ensuring sanitary conditions.
• Sets up cleaning equipment and readiness for use with necessary supplies at the beginning of each shift.
• Maintains par levels and inventories of medical-surgical equipment; locates missing equipment.
• Maintains supply inventory and runs essential errands for the OR and L&B Unit.
• Completes online continuing education classes and keeps PPD current.
