Job summary

Kanas City Orthopedic Alliance invites applications for an Operating Room Scrub Technician at the new Center for Advanced Orthopedics in Lenexa. This full-time role supports the OR team under the RN and surgeon, maintaining sterile fields and providing instrument support for total joints, arthroscopy, trauma, spine, and foot/ankle cases.

Qualifications include 1–2 years scrub experience and an accredited Surgical Technology program graduate; CST credential preferred and BLS certification

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years scrub experience, orthopedic case experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential preferred; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Set up sterile field, instrumentation, and equipment for orthopedic procedures.
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeon and first assist.
• Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures and assist with turnover between cases.
• Prepare and manage specialty orthopedic trays, power equipment, and implants.
• Ensure accurate surgical counts with RN circulating nurse.
• Adhere to infection prevention and safety standards.
