Job summary

Qualifications

• Accredited OR/ scrub tech program or military scrub training.
• Two years of hands-on experience as a surgical technician.
• Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Additional license requirements may be determined by the hiring department.

Responsibilities

• Check supplies, instrumentation, and equipment for procedures and ensure proper function.
• Open sterile supplies and set up the surgical table for each case.
• Maintain sterile field and assist with draping to isolate the operative site.
• Assist in aseptic technique and alert team to any sterile breaches.
• Anticipate and hand instruments and supplies to the surgeon as needed.
• Assist in instrument/field maintenance and sterilization preparation.
• Assist in scheduling and coordination of surgical procedures when directed.
