Job summary
CGH Medical Center is seeking a scrub tech to assist surgeons and surgical staff in the operating room. Responsibilities include securing equipment, maintaining a sterile field, and assisting with patient care before, during, and after surgery.
The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited scrub tech program and will complete certification within the first year. The position offers a compensation range of $24.25 – $36.38 and various employee discounts.
Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited scrub tech program prior to hiring.
- Successful completion of scrub tech certification within 12 months of employment.
Responsibilities
- Secure equipment and instrumentation for surgical cases.
- Maintain sterile field and take corrective actions as needed.
- Assist with pre-surgery and post-surgery counts.
- Aid in patient positioning and lighting adjustments.
- Anticipate instrumentation needs during surgery.
- Assist with bandaging and dressings.
- Prepare instruments for decontamination post-surgery.
- Restock and turnover the surgical room as needed.
