Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Wyandotte, MI, is seeking an OR scheduler to perform scheduling functions at the OR control desk using a computerized system. You will create a 48-hour draft of the OR schedules and independently move cases to openings while resolving conflicts with surgical specialties.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years minimum experience preferred.

• Computer skills required. Medical Terminology Data Entry/Keyboarding Computer software, i.e.., Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access Time management
• Successful completion of 120-day introductory period required to achieve knowledge of policies relative to job duties and patient care unit.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
• Advanced education, college degree preferred.
• 1-3 years minimum experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others in the work environment; must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Additional Information

Schedule

Monday - Friday, variable hours between 6:00am - 6:30pm

Weekend Shift approximately 1x every 6 weeks, hours = 7:00am - 1:00pm
