Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. You will deliver evidence-based nursing care, communicate with the care team, and document care using advanced bar-scanning and EHR technology.

The role requires a valid NJ nursing license, BLS/CPR within 60 days, and at least 6 months of nursing experience, with BSN in progress preferred. OR/CVOR experience and national certification are a plus, with competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum of 6 months nursing experience or active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency program.
• BSN in progress and/or willingness to obtain within 3 years of hire.
• OR nursing experience preferred and CVOR experience preferred.
• National certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care per evidence-based practices and standards of care.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients, families, and care team.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Document care in the electronic health record after patient assessments and interventions.
• Provide patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Assist with safe patient transitions and discharge planning.
