Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey is seeking a Registered Nurse at Jersey Shore University Medical Center to deliver nursing care following evidence-based standards and to ensure safe, individualized patient care in a busy clinical setting.

Applicants must hold a New Jersey nursing license, obtain BLS/ CPR within 60 days, and have at least 6 months of nursing experience or participate in the Nurse Residency program. OR/CVOR experience and a BSN in progress are preferred.

Qualifications

• New Jersey nursing license required
• BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire
• Minimum 6 months nursing experience or active Nurse Residency program
• OR nursing experience preferred
• CVOR experience preferred
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing practices according to evidence-based research, policies, and standards for safe, individualized patient care
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and other health care team members
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies to ensure safety
• Document point-of-care assessments, plans, interventions, and evaluations
• Provide patient and family education to optimize health and disease management
• Coordinate multidisciplinary discharge planning to ensure safe transition of care
