Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in Brick Township, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver evidence-based patient care in a busy OR setting. You will provide safe, individualized nursing care, communicate with patients and the health care team, and participate in medication administration with bar-scanning and electronic documentation.

Requirements include NJ RN license, BLS/CPR, ACLS/CNOR preferred, 6+ months acute care RN experience or nurse residency, BSN in progress or within 3 years, and 2

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey RN license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required.
• ACLS is preferred; CNOR is preferred.
• Six (6) or more months of acute care RN experience or active participation in the HMH nurse residency program required.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire required.
• 2 years OR experience preferred.
• Strong teamwork, accountability, and patient-focused care.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research, policies, and standards of care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and health care team regarding patient status and plan of care.
• Medication administration utilizing bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Ongoing point-of-care electronic documentation of assessments, plan of care, interventions and evaluations.
• Patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Discharging of patients to ensure safe transition and continuum of care.
