Job summary

Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT seeks an OR Nurse (Circulator/Scrub) to organize and deliver individualized patient care in the Operating Room. You will follow hospital and AORN/ASPAN/SGNA standards and participate in teaching and care planning.

The Core OR handles multiple specialties and provides 24/7 coverage. Current CT RN license and OR experience are required; BSN is preferred and BLS is required at hire. CNOR preferred.

Qualifications

• Current active CT RN license
• Previous OR experience required (OR novice nurses may apply to Transition to Practice)
• BSN preferred
• BLS certification required at time of hire
• CNOR certification preferred

Responsibilities

• The OR Nurse functions as Circulator/Scrub Nurse in the Operating Room.
• Organizes and administers individualized, professional patient care to patients within the Operating Room.
• Provides nursing care in accordance with hospital objectives and established standards.
• Participates in patient teaching and quality improvement activities.
