Job summary

The-Urology-Group is seeking an ASC Registered Nurse OR to provide safe, quality patient care in the operating room. The RN supports patients before, during, and after surgery and assists the surgeon and team in their tasks.

Requirements include an active RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and a BSN preferred. Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience is expected; candidates must handle a stressful environment with strong communication and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• RN license and state certification
• BLS certification required; ACLS required
• Graduate of accredited nursing program; BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Prepares operating room for procedure.
• Evaluates medical information and provides direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre- and post-surgery patients.
• Functions as scrub and circulating nurse.
• Assists in positioning and safety of the patient.
